The recent swing to the left in many South American countries has created more momentum for regional integration, with renewed emphasis on so-called Global South policies that favor developing nations. 

At the recent summit of South American nations in Brasilia, host nation Brazil pushed for the creation of a regional bloc with a shared currency. 

CGTN's correspondent in Brazil, Paulo Cabral, discussed the likelihood of this happening with the Foreign Minister of Bolivia.
