BEIJING, Feb. 17 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Li Qiang on Monday congratulated Mia Mottley on her re-election as Barbadian prime minister.
In his message, Li said that Barbados is an important country in the Caribbean region and an important cooperative partner of China.
Over the past 49 years since the establishment of diplomatic ties, China-Barbados relations have achieved sound and stable development, with fruitful outcomes in practical cooperation across various fields and steadily deepening friendship between the people of the two countries, Li said.
Li said that he highly values the development of China-Barbados relations and stands ready to work with Mottley to continuously deepen mutually beneficial and friendly cooperation, bring the bilateral relations to a new level, and deliver greater benefits to the people of both countries.
