U.S. forces strike alleged drug boat in Caribbean, killing 3

WASHINGTON, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. forces on Monday struck an alleged drug boat in the Caribbean, killing three males aboard, the U.S. Southern Command said.

"Intelligence confirmed the vessel was transiting along known narco-trafficking routes in the Caribbean and was engaged in narco-trafficking operations," the command said on X without providing evidence.

"Three male narco-terrorists were killed during this action. No U.S. military forces were harmed," said the command.

The Pentagon has conducted 44 known strikes against alleged drug-trafficking vessels in the Caribbean and the eastern Pacific since early September, claiming at least 150 lives.
